ANIMALS IN SPIRIT
Our "pets" are Spiritual beings just as humans are. When they lose their guardian or another animal friend, they grieve just as we do. When we lose them, it can feel like the end of the world. They are not only our companions, but our confidants and true friends.
They are here in service to humans, to teach us, to learn from us. They evolve even as we do.
When they pass from this physical world, they do not leave us in Spirit. I have yet to talk to an animal in Spirit who is not still in some way connected to the person who loved them in the physical world. They often have insights into the person's life and current mission that is very personal and certainly helpful to hear.
If you have lost a beloved pet, be assured that he can still hear you when you talk to him. You may not hear the response, yet it is there if you but listen. I can hear the responses because of my training and practice, but it is there for you as well.
The death of the body is not the end; but a step in the evolution of the Spirit. Your beloved pet is on an evolving path just as you are, and they are often a part of your Spirit Family; destined to return to be with you over and over. They often will have a different form, but it is their soul essence that survives throughout various incarnations.

Partial Lyrics to "Never The Same" - by Echolyn ©
"Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there I did not die."
I say to you I will see you again
On the other side someday
"There's never endings only discovery,"
I tell myself over and over again
Some leave their mark in our hearts then go
It's hard to continue onward
When forever comes down it comes down so heavy
Too final to forget
You've got to believe there's something more
After the song is over
The dance goes on, so dance away
When all is said and done
Remember what's been given, not taken away
I remember laying down to take a nap.
I remember I had my head in her lap.
I remember the sad look in her eye.
I remember I had never seen her cry.
I remember I wanted to ask her why.
I remember hearing her say "Goodbye".
I wanted to say "Don't cry for me."
I wanted to say "Just remember me."
I wanted to say "I remember the toys."
I wanted to say "I remember the joys."
I wanted to say "How I loved your touch."
I wanted to say "I love you so much!"
You've taken care of me all my life.
You've guarded me from trouble and strife.
You've taken care of me through good and bad.
You've always stopped me from feeling sad.
You've given me treats and given me care.
You've told me what to expect when I get there.
So please don't cry, wipe the tears from your eyes.
I'll look down upon you, and with a woof and a sigh,
I'll gather my courage and march up to God
And ask Him, when you get here, to give you a nod.
For you were my master and you were my friend,
And I'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow's End.
